Organized by the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and jointly implemented by the Precision Machinery Research & Development Center (PMC), the Taiwan Cutting-Tool Engineering Association (TACEA), and the Innovation Incubation Center, Office of Industry-Academia Collaboration and Service, National Formosa University (國立虎尾科技大學), the “Metalworking, Mold, and Aerospace Industry Business Matching and Exchange Meeting” was held on August 18 at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel. The event established an efficient platform for industrial exchange, connecting key sectors including metalworking, cutting tools, machine tools, molds, and aerospace. It facilitated direct matching between supply and demand in areas such as technology, production capacity, and strategic cooperation, creating new opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.

The event brought together representatives from industry, government, academia, and research institutions, including PMC Acting General Manager 李健勲; 陳正雄, Chairman of the Taiwan Cutting-Tool Engineering Association (TACEA); 張和明, Chairman of the Taiwan Mold & Die Industry Association, and Vice Chairman 林當財; 朱小蘭, Executive Secretary of the Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association; and 王建凱, Manager of the Innovation Incubation Center, Office of Industry-Academia Collaboration and Service, National Formosa University. Nearly 50 companies and approximately 70 participants attended the event, filling the venue and generating active interaction among attendees.

PMC Acting General Manager 李健勲 stated that amid rapid changes in global markets and increasingly intense competition, cross-sector cooperation and resource integration have become key priorities. Taiwan’s metalworking industry possesses strong manufacturing and machining capabilities. Through this business matching and exchange event, manufacturers were able to engage directly with application sectors such as molds and aerospace, gain a clearer understanding of their quality and technical requirements, and further strengthen practical cooperation across the industrial supply chain.

陳正雄 noted that the event focused on connecting industrial resources and helping Taiwan’s cutting-tool and metalworking companies better understand the needs of high-end application markets such as aerospace and molds. Through direct supply-demand matching, participating companies were able to better understand the technical requirements and cooperation standards of high-end manufacturing while extending their existing machining capabilities into higher-value markets and creating new opportunities for business growth.

In addition to business matching and networking sessions, the event featured two practical seminars focusing on aerospace supply chain compliance and AI applications in smart manufacturing. 林浚騰, Vice President of 貝爾國際驗證, delivered a presentation titled “The Aerospace Threshold Is Closer Than You Think: A Precise Guide to Aerospace Component Manufacturing Standards and Supply Chain Compliance.” He explained aerospace component manufacturing standards and supply chain compliance requirements, helping companies understand the main requirements for entering the aerospace market.

沈定杰, General Manager of JC SOLUTION CO., LTD., delivered a presentation titled “AI-Driven New Opportunities in Aerospace, Drones, and Mold Machining.” He shared practical applications of AI, automation, and unmanned technologies in aerospace and mold machining, providing concrete directions for companies seeking to advance digital transformation and smart manufacturing. The organizer stated that this cross-sector business matching event enabled metalworking, mold, and aerospace companies to exchange technical knowledge and market requirements while further strengthening connections across upstream and downstream supply chains. As markets for aerospace, drones, and high-end molds continue to grow, the organizers will continue integrating industrial resources to help Taiwanese manufacturers strengthen their technical capabilities, expand into high-end application markets, and enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s high-end manufacturing supply chain.
